Q: 1. Warranty Scope
Ocean Engine Parts (“Seller”) offers access to manufacturer-backed limited warranties on eligible products. Unless otherwise expressly stated in the applicable product listing, all products are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of original invoice. Certain products may carry extended warranties of two (2) or three (3) years, as specifically identified in the product description.
All warranty obligations are provided solely by the applicable manufacturer or supplier. Seller acts solely as a facilitator of warranty claims and does not independently warrant products unless expressly stated in writing.
Q: 2. Coverage
This limited warranty applies exclusively to defects in materials or workmanship under conditions of normal use, proper installation, and appropriate application consistent with manufacturer specifications.
Upon approval of a warranty claim by the manufacturer, the exclusive remedy shall be limited to, at the manufacturer’s discretion:
- Replacement of the defective product; or
- Provision of a functionally equivalent replacement part.
No other remedy shall be available under this warranty.
Q: 3. Exclusions from Coverage
This warranty shall not apply to any product or part failure resulting from, including but not limited to:
- Improper installation, misapplication, or incorrect use
- Abuse, negligence, lack of maintenance, or improper servicing
- Overheating or operation outside manufacturer specifications
- Contaminated or improper fluids (fuel, oil, coolant, etc.)
- Racing, competition, or non-standard performance applications
- Modifications, alterations, or unauthorized repairs
- Accidents, external impact, environmental conditions, or force majeure events
Q: 4. Excluded Costs and Customer Responsibility
Warranty coverage is strictly limited to the replacement of the defective product only. Under no circumstances shall warranty coverage extend to labor, service, or incidental costs.
The customer expressly acknowledges and agrees that the following costs are not covered under any warranty and remain the sole responsibility of the purchaser:
- Labor for removal, installation, diagnosis, or repair
- Towing, transportation, or recovery services
- Rental vehicles or equipment
- Loss of use, downtime, or loss of revenue
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Q: 5. Claim Conditions
All warranty claims are subject to inspection, verification, and approval by the manufacturer or authorized representative. Seller reserves the right to require return of the alleged defective product for evaluation prior to issuance of any remedy.
The following conditions apply to all claims:
- Proof of purchase is required
- Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable
- The warranty period begins on the invoice date, not installation date
- Returned products may be tested and evaluated before any determination is made
Q: 6. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” AND SELLER DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Q: 7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL OCEAN ENGINE PARTS, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF USE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Q: 8. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing from Ocean Engine Parts, the purchaser acknowledges, understands, and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty Policy.
